GAMEPLAY: PERMUTATIONS: RULES OF LARP: INIGO MONTOYA CLAUSE
The Inigo Montoya (revenge) Clause:
No Connections With Your Previous Characters
Also known as: "You keeled my father, prepare to die!" syndrome.
Full disclosure: Vampire: The Masquerade is a game in which rival vampires often hunt, and occasionally kill one another. PvP happens.
We don't think it's a good idea to make characters who are associated with old characters you've played at EC, for obvious reasons. By that we mean, if a character you were playing has died, it's not acceptable to later begin play as a character with reason to investigate their death, or their Childe or Sire, etc.
If a new character enters play and attempts to take revenge against the PC that killed the player's last character - that is considered metagaming, it's a charter violation, and it's an actionable offence that could result in disciplainary action, up to, and including being required to take an extended break from the game, or a loss of the charater from play.
Don't be that guy.
